What to Expect
Theia's ultra wide no distortion lenses are designed for applications where an ultrawide field of view is required or where space is restricted. These applications include general surveillance of parking lots, warehouses, construction sites, as well as ATMs and checkout stands. The calculator below should help deterine the best application of Theia's lens.
Linear Optical Technology that makes the ultra wide field of view possible also inverts the image in the camera. Most IP cameras have a software switch that can re-invert the image. Other cameras can be mounted upside down to correct the image.

Ultra wide field of view

The SY125 has 90% more field of view than a typical wide angle 3-12 mm lens. This increased field of view allows the installation of fewer cameras for covering a large area such as a warehouse or parking lot.

We have created a lens calculator that can tell you the image resolution and field of view given different camera distances for different lenses.
